Getting Started
Before learning to drive a minibus, a bus or a lorry you must have the relevant provisional licence for that vehicle. You can apply for this licence from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) using driving licence application form D2. This form is available from your local Traffic Area Office, Vehicle Registration Office (VRO) or the DVLA's Customer Enquiries Unit
You will also need a doctor to complete medical form D4. This is available from the post office and DVLA. You can also download the form direct from the DVLA web site here.
You should send the completed application form along with:
- your category B licence (your full car licence)
- a completed medical report form (D4) signed by a doctor
- DVLA,
- Swansea,
- SA99 1BR.
Once you have received your provisional licence you can apply to take the relevant theory test.
